My name is Jo-ann Moriarty, and I am the owner and proprietor of WHITE DOVE HOME STAGING.

Four years ago, I started to notice how Home Staging was known and used throughout the United States. It had been a thriving Industry for 20 years and was well known in many other countries.

During a short business trip to Kuwait I was surprised to see it being used there also. So when I arrived home I started asking Real Estate people what they thought of the concept and received an overwhelming “Yes, we need that kind of service!”

That sealed it! I then sought out one of the most recognised, well-known forerunners of the Industry in the United States, Barbara Jennings, whom I have now trained under for the last 3 years. I couldn’t have had a better teacher and she is still always there for me if I need her advice on any project that I am working on.

To some Home Staging might seem simple, and maybe it is in some regard. However it involves learning a massive Encyclopaedia of a vast variety of information and tricks of the trade. It means knowing the psychology of the buyer and being able to work with it, rather than what looks good to you.

I have always loved and worked in Design

I have always loved and worked in Design. Most of my working life up until this time was as a Fashion Designer. My Fashion label was Tojo which sold around Australia in Surf Shops, Sportsgirl and David Jones, as well as in many other countries. But Fashion Design goes around in circles, we can only clothe our bodies this way or that way, whereas the houses we live in are continually changing as mankind continues to invent.

My staff (or as I prefer to call them, my co-workers) and I are like family. We work together like brothers and sisters doing our best to give you a quick and better-priced sale. We meet together to discuss each job we are taking on, and how we can benefit our clients the most.

However underlying the whole concept of White Dove Home Staging is a passion to meet the needs of the little children in Cambodia and Vietnam who are daily being sold into prostitution. Our aim is to build them homes, where they can be loved as it was originally intended.
